For Blakcro, we developed Brand Guidelines, built a dynamic, restricted access site, and created content for the brand to use. Due to the nature of the company, we can only disclose the branding element here - however, upon request we can provide a more detailed case study.

Brand Creation
Blakcro was a brand developed from the ground up. The brief called for a defence-inspired identity incorporating elements of a bird or crow, with a design suitable for physical product applications.
After exploring numerous concepts, we refined the ideas into three distinct yet impactful options, presented to the client as shown below.
Each logo concept offered a distinct approach, with the first two resonating most with the client. We felt the second design stood out as the strongest choice due to its unique identity.
While shield motifs are a natural fit for defence-related branding, they are also widely used and can lack originality. The client was seeking something that balanced the protective symbolism of a shield with a fresh, distinctive take. The second design achieved this by incorporating the imagery of a bird swooping down - with an overarching shield shape, blending strength, agility and defence. Its uniqueness, combined with its ability to stand alone as a memorable mark, made 2.1 the ideal choice.
We further refined, ensuring precise spacing and proportions for a polished final result.
Reversing the logo with a dark charcoal background also gave a strong impression. It is key for this logo to work in monotone.
Typeface
We chose Figtree for the brand font. It made an Ideal choice for a modern defence company due to its clean, geometric design, combining strength, professionalism, and innovation.
Its legibility and versatility ensure it works across digital and physical mediums, while its modern simplicity and approachable style convey trust and forward-thinking values, aligning perfectly with the defence industry's evolving nature.
Colour
The brand and site is primarily monotone - combining extremely dark grey with crisp white is a safe option, reflecting the brands ideology that is often seen with defense branding.
The tertiary colour is Flat dark earth , this keeps in line with the military colour palette, whilst adding some slight pops of colour where needed.
Summary
While we are unable to delve deeply into the details of this project, we are confident that Blakcro has emerged with a distinctive, recognizable, and impactful brand that aligns with its mission. The modernized logo stands out within the defence sector, offering a fresh and contemporary approach while staying true to the brand's core values.
